The overall objective of the Operation is to create a more favorable and attractive labour market for women by improving the institutional framework and legal practices in order to increase the decent work culture in the Turkish labour market.

The specific purpose of the Operation is to encourage women who are at risk of withdrawing from the labour market due to their care responsibilities for their young children to participate in registered employment by facilitating their integration into the labour market through the Financial Support Programme. In addition, it is thought that a certified working culture will be developed in child care by supporting female employees who are at risk of withdrawing from the labour market.

The target groups of the Operation are;

• Women with a diploma or certificate in childcare
• Women who are working or about to start working in a registered job with children up to the age of 2 (including 24 months) at the time of preliminary application.

Expected impact of the Operation, which is being implemented via direct grant, are as follows:

• 3.700 certified child caregiver women will be able to find a job.
• Around 3.700 mothers who are at risk of withdrawal from labour market due to care responsibilities will be able to continue to participate in the labour market.
• Around 6.000 women will have Childcare Course certificate approved by Ministry of National Education.
