Aim of Operation and Outputs

The purpose of the operation is to support the expansion of National Vocational Qualifications System (NVQS) and to support the implementation of the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (TQF).

The certification costs of 32.040 individuals who want to obtain VQA Certificates were covered and certified by 47 Authorised Certification Bodies (VOC-TEST Centres) including As a result, the learning outcomes gained by them without having a formal, non-formal education were recognized and certified. Furthermore, they became qualified labour force in line with the necessities of the labour market.

15 sectors which were not supported in the first grant scheme not funded by the HRD OP were supported to establish and initiate an efficient and sustainable NVQS enabling appropriate assessment and certification system at all levels in line with European Qualifications Framework. With the successful completion of 14 projects under the Grant Scheme, 31 national occupational standards and 63 national qualifications have been prepared in 10 sectors supported by the program. A total of 14 certification centers were established..

Within the scope of the supply projects, products including IT, Software and Office Equipment were delivered to increase the technical capacity of VQA.
