Interventions and Estimated Results:

Overall Objective: The overall objective of the Operation is to increase registered women employment and women entrepreneurship.
Operation Purpose: The purpose of the Operation is to support registered women employment through granting for women employees who will be employed additionally by women entrepreneurs in the selected provinces within the scope of Operation.
Operation will be composed of a direct grant component (29.5 million Euro) with the duration of 32 months.

Target group of the Operation is, enterprises registered and run by women entrepreneurs for 8 years before the start of the Operation and their women employees employed additionally.
In this context, 4000 women entrepreneurs will be supported within the scope of the Operation. With the additional 4000 women workers employed in these enterprises, the Operation will have positive effect on 8000 women in Turkish labour market.
Wage reimbursements provided to women employers is expected to support small-scale women entrepreneurs and promote registered women employment. During the project, approximately 4000 women employers will be supported. The amount of wage reimbursement will be 320 Euros (can not exceed 65% of the total cost of an employee to the employer). The wage reimbursement will be given in a monthly basis for maximum 20 months.
Within the scope of the Project, following provinces have been determined to take a wage reimbursement; Ankara, İstanbul, Samsun, Aydın, Denizli, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş. In selection of the pilot provinces, the following criteria have been taken into account:
• Socio-economic development levels of the provinces,
• Number of insured women entrepreneurs in those provinces,
• Population of the provinces,
• Budget constraint and priorities of the project,
• Capacity of Provincial Directorates of Social Security.
• Regional distribution at country level.

Applications will be made personally to the Social Security Provincial Directorates (SSPDs) in the relevant
provinces where application desks will be set up. Local office team staff will be assigned to receive applications.

The fourth management meeting of Operation was held on 01.10.2020

The implementation period is suspended as of 01 June 2020 to minimize the negative impact of the pandemic (Covid -19)
