Interventions and Estimated Results:

The operation consists of a 36-month service component and an 18-month grant component.

Within the scope of the service component with a budget of 5.940.000 Euros; it is aimed to provide trainings for MoNE staff regarding special education, to organise awareness-raising activities for families, school managers and local actors, to prepare an impact analysis in the field of special education to support and to increase cooperation and coordination with the NGOs.

In the grant component with a budget of 7 million Euros; it is aimed to improve the quality of education for students with special education needs, to diversify the educational materials, to support competencies of mainstream and special education teachers via trainings and to raise awareness of families, students and teachers.

Current Situation:
(As of March 2021)

Service Contract was signed on 25.06.2019 and the Technical Assistance Project commenced on 01.08.2019. The Launching Event was held on 17.12.2019. The first two Interim Reports of the Project covering one year of implementation was approved. So far, 17 monthly management meetings and 3 Steering Committee meetings have been held.

Within the scope of the grant component of this operation, full application forms for project proposals were received until the deadline date of 03/05/2019. Assessment and selection process of the project proposal is in progress.
